  • A warm up session
  • An opportunity to observe another group’s performance and clinic, and
  • Concluding in a performance and clinic with our renowned clinicians.

Each band will warm up in large rehearsal space connected to Wentz Hall.  Then watch and listen to a different group’s performance and clinic, to see and hear from another viewpoint.  Each band will perform two songs or 15 minutes whichever comes first.  You will receive a clinic on stage at Wentz Hall with one of the three clinicians who heard your performance.

Bands must perform using the traditional stacked horn setup, and will use the PEBB bass amp, guitar amp, drum set, vibraphones. Students must bring their own cymbals and Latin percussion. There is a PA for solos and vocals.

Your band will receive comments of your performance from one clinician on a flash drive.

Each jazz ensemble may perform two or three compositions or 15 minutes, whichever comes first. (Setup and teardown time is not included in this 18 minute period.) Keep in mind that the shorter time you play, the longer you will have in your private clinic.

Each participating school will be invited to have one combo perform at a local restaurant at lunchtime. [/fusion_text][/one_full]
